Poem to a Special Aunt
Growing up, I had a special aunt who was like a grandmother to me; enjoy the poetry that was written for her. Although, technically she was my aunt, I had nicknamed her Aunt Gram. A second mum
You my aunt has been
A very good friend
You have always been
Thank you for all you do
My dear Aunt, I appreciate you.
When I was down
You cheered me up like a clown.
When I was discouraged
You constantly encouraged.
When I just needed to talk
You always listened never balked.
We shared many good days
And, now I would like to say
You are more like a Grandma
Who shares her time, understanding,
And most of all her love.

If you are going to be a new aunt, my hope is that you are like that special
aunt that I had. One who always has time for their new niece or newphew. An
aunt who is a friend and a mentor to the new child in the family. And, maybe someday
